Investing.com – Germany equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the , , and sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Frankfurt, Germany, it gained 1.26%, while the index climbed 1.53%, and the index gained 1.86%.
The best performers of the session were Sartorius AG Vz (ETR:), which rose 4.41% or 13.40 points to trade at 317.10 at the close. Meanwhile, Infineon (ETR:) added 3.14% or 1.15 points to end at 37.78 and Siemens Energy AG (ETR:) was up 3.06% or 0.48 points to 16.18 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Rheinland AG (ETR:), which fell 0.13% or 0.05 points to trade at 39.87 at the close. Deutsche Telekom (ETR:) added 0.23% or 0.05 points to end at 19.98 and Bayer AG (ETR:) was up 0.32% or 0.16 points to 50.67 at the close.
The top performers on the MidCap Index (MDAX: ) were Kion Group AG (ETR: ), which rose 6.78% to 36.86, SMA Solar Technology AG (ETR: ), which was up 5.57% to 111.90 and Jungheinrich AG ( ETR:) rose 4.94% to trade at 33.54 at the close.
The worst performers were Prosiebensat 1 Media AG (ETR:) which was down 1.57% to 8.54 in late trade, Fraport (ETR:) which lost 1.57% to settle at 48.86 and RTL Group SA (ETR:) which was down 1.13% , with a closing price of 36.62.
The top performers on the TecDAX were SMA Solar Technology AG (ETR: ), which rose 5.57% to 111.90, Sartorius AG Vz (ETR: ), which was up 4.41% to 317.10 , Nagarro SE (ETR 🙂 Up 3.77% to close at 79.75.
The worst performers were ADTRAN Holdingsa Inc (ETR:) which was down 1.47% to 9.65 in late trade, Telefonica Deutschland Holding AG (ETR:) was little changed 0.15% to settle at 2.58 and Kontron AG (ETR:) was up 0.06 %, with a closing price of 18.11.
On the Frankfurt Stock Exchange, 484 stocks rose, outnumbering the number of stocks that closed down – 172. At the same time, 88 stocks did not rise or fall, basically flat.

A measure of implied volatility for DAX 30 options fell 5.98 percent to 13.52.
The August gold futures option contract was up 0.61%, or 11.70 points, at $1,929.60. For the rest of the futures, the WTI crude oil futures contract for August delivery rose 0.87% (0.61 points) to $70.47, while the September London Brent crude oil futures contract rose 1.03% (0.77) to trade at $75.28.
EUR/USD rose 0.53% to 1.09; while EUR/GBP was little changed at 0.33% to 0.86.
U.S. dollar index futures were down 0.50% at 102.50.
