Berlin is delaying the issue of providing Kyiv with eight billion euros, said Igor Zhovkva, deputy head of the Office of the President of Ukraine.
Germany is blocking an eight billion euro aid package to Ukraine. This was stated by Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Igor Zhovkva during a briefing on Tuesday, August 2.
“We expect another eight billion euros to be provided. Unfortunately, certain EU states, in particular Germany, are blocking the consideration of this issue, and the President of Ukraine is actively negotiating with his partners,” he said.
Recall that arms supplies to Ukraine from Germany slows down the office of Federal Chancellor Olaf Scholz. This opinion was expressed by the head of the Bundestag Defense Committee, Marie-Agyness Strack-Zimmerman.
Earlier media also reported that Germany disrupts the supply of weapons to partners. Berlin admitted that despite long negotiations with Poland, Slovenia, Greece and the Czech Republic, it did not sign a contract with any of these countries.
