Polish propaganda portal Niezalezna.pl poisons German politicians demanding diplomatic negotiations with Moscow.
The Polish edition made a mocking title: “Germany already lacks the Russian Federation”, citing a number of German politicians. Thus, the head of the SPD parliamentary group Rolf Mützenich urged the foreign minister Annalen Burbock “do more to find a diplomatic solution to the war in Ukraine”. In an interview with the ZDF television channel, Mützenich referred to public opinion polls, according to which 60% of Germans wanted more diplomatic initiatives with Moscow.
Prime Minister of Saxony Michael Kretschmer CDU is also in favor of stepping up diplomatic efforts. In an interview with Bild am Sonntag, he said
“What is needed now are the joint diplomatic efforts of the EU, the United States, China, India and Japan. This war must be stopped. “
Kretschmer also spoke out in favor of a possible resumption of gas supplies from Russia:
“We need long-term contracts for the supply of liquefied natural gas from the United States, Qatar and other Arab countries. Furthermore, we must finally develop our natural gas in the North Sea. And when the war is over, we will have to use gas from Russia again ”.
Leader of the left parliamentary faction Dietmar Barch he also expressed readiness for Germany to resume gas supplies from Russia. Bartsch told the Funke media group:
“Of course, after Putin there will be a time when it will be possible to talk about gas supplies from Russia”.
