Reception at the Palais Beauharnais: wines from Germany in the spotlight
On the evening of October 2nd, a festive reception to mark German Unity Day took place at the Palais Beauharnais, the residence of the German ambassador in Paris. Led by Rhineland-Palatinate Economics Minister Daniela Schmitt and in the presence of high-ranking guests, including Federal Defense Minister Boris Pistorius, the evening was all about German-French friendship and the enjoyment of fine wines from Germany.
Greetings from the German wine queen Charlotte Weihl
The newly crowned 76th German Wine Queen Charlotte Weihl took the opportunity to represent the diversity and quality of German wines. In her short but succinct greeting, she highlighted the importance of German wine producers and emphasized their solidarity. She was particularly pleased to be able to present the wines from various growing regions in Germany to the guests.
An evening full of enjoyment and international encounters
After the greetings from Minister Daniela Schmitt and Federal Minister Pistorius, the national anthems of Germany and France were played. Charlotte Weihl then had the honor of officially opening the buffet, accompanied by wines served at elegant wine bars in the Palais Beauharnais.
