The German wheelchair basketball team’s mission to win a medal at the Paralympics in Paris has failed miserably. Mareike Miller’s team was eliminated in the quarterfinals on Wednesday evening after losing 53:71 (22:34) to Canada, missing the semifinals for the first time since the 2004 Summer Games in Athens. Miller was also unable to prevent the elimination. The athlete spokesperson was on the court for the full distance in the Bercy Arena and collected 18 points.
