A German primary school teacher who led a double life by transforming herself into a conspiracy presenter for a far-right channel in the evening has been suspended from her duties.
The dual identity of Elisa W. who played Anna Schneider on the Compact TV channel was revealed Thursday by the German newspaper “Tagesspiegel,” reported the media 7Sur7.
The teacher at the small school in Märkisch-Oderland disguised herself with a brown wig and an all-purpose pseudonym to broadcast conspiracy theories on Compact TV.
But his attempt to conceal his identity ultimately failed, as keen-eyed observers noticed distinctive physical features.
The 29-year-old worked for the controversial channel until last January, broadcasting conspiracy theories and pro-Russian propaganda.
Compact TV is owned by a former professor, Jürgen Elsässer, who argued that its aim was to “contribute to the overthrow of the political regime”.
The Brandenburg Ministry of Education has taken the decision to suspend the controversial teacher from her duties, pending the findings of an official investigation.
