Erfurt. It is the second edition of the German Table Tennis Finals 2025 at the Erfurt Exhibition Centre: From June 6 to 9, 2025, the national table tennis family will meet again in the heart of Thuringia. This time, in addition to women and men, youth 15 and 19 and performance classes, around 500 seniors will also be taking part and fighting for the national prestige titles.
For the TT finals, the organizing trio of the German Table Tennis Association, the Thuringian Table Tennis Association and the Table Tennis Marketing Society need helping hands in many different areas. Around 150 volunteers take on a variety of tasks, from driving to supporting programs, catering, information services and live tickers to working in the press center. There is something for almost all age groups, and ball boys are also needed. A look behind the scenes of the top national event is offered. “The volunteers make a personal contribution to the success of this major event, which would not be possible without the voluntary work. Many of them are enthusiastic and have been involved for years. It’s like a big family,” says Rico Pilz, TMG event manager and authorized representative.
