German Students Participate in Environmental Project and Cultural Exchange in La Línea de la Concepción

The city of La Línea de la Concepción has welcomed a group of fourteen students and three teachers from the Dahn educational center, Germany, who have been visiting since last Tuesday, November 13, as part of an Erasmus project. This morning, the students had the honor of visiting the municipal plenary hall, where they were received by the councilor and municipal delegate of Education, Manuel Abellán.

During their stay, which will last until November 17, students will explore various areas of local culture, including customs and gastronomy. In addition, they have taken part in an environmental sustainability project with Ecolocaliza, an educational experience that has allowed them to study and watch cetaceans on the eastern coast.

In a fusion of art and ecological awareness, the young people have created a work with waste collected from the beach, an activity carried out at the Mediterranean Institute, which acts as their reception center.

Raquel Ñeco, councilor and municipal delegate for the Environment, has highlighted the value of such initiatives that project the environmental virtues of La Línea, especially with regard to whale watching. This event serves as a preamble to the inauguration of the new sighting point in Santa Bárbara, scheduled for the 29th, positioning the city as a benchmark in environmental education and sustainable tourism.
