German stocks turn higher, DAX 40 gains 0.46 percent

Frankfurt (ANTARA) – German stocks ended higher on Friday (10/22/2021), rebounding from losses the previous day with the benchmark DAX 40 index on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange up 0.46 percent, or 70.42 points. , to settle at 15,542.98 points.

The DAX 40 index slid 0.32 percent, or 50.36 points, to 15,472.56 points on Thursday (10/21/2021), after inching up 0.05 percent, or 7.09 points, to 15,522.92 points on Wednesday (20/21). 10/2021), and strengthened 0.27 percent or 41.36 points to 15,515.83 points on Tuesday (19/10/2021).

Of the 40 stocks of selected large companies that are components of the DAX 40 index, 28 stocks managed to record profits, while 12 other stocks suffered losses.

Since September 20, 2021, the Frankfurt Stock Exchange has officially expanded the components of the DAX 30 index to 40 shares or the DAX 40 index.

German multinational automaker Volkswagen records the most profit (top gainer) among the leading stocks or blue chips, with the value of its shares increased by 2.24 percent.

Followed by the shares of multinational semiconductor manufacturing company Infineon Technologies which rose 1.81 percent, and German international automotive industry company BMW rose 1.72 percent.

On the other hand, European multinational online food ordering and delivery service company Delivery Hero suffered the biggest losses (top loser) among the leading stocks, with its share price dropping 3.70 percent.

This was followed by multinational e-commerce company Zalando, which fell 1.48 percent, and European multinational aerospace manufacturing company Airbus lost 1.47 percent.

Multinational software company SAP was the most traded stock of the day with a transaction value of 250.60 million euros (291.45 million US dollars).
