Applications for scholarships are now open for the 2024/25 academic year, all documents and the link to the online application can be found at the bottom of this page.
The scholarships (Deutschlandstipendien) will be awarded due to the support program of the German Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) and on the basis of a federal bill for the Scholarship Program of the German Federal Government and the University’s bylaws. of the Arts Bremen “Bremen University of the Arts Legislation Governing the Awarding of Scholarships in Germany”. Half of the scholarships are funded by federal funds and the other half by private donors.
The main criteria are the performance and talent of the candidates. In addition to personal achievements and talent, academic background, social and family situation, social commitment and awards can be considered.
The scholarship will be 300 euro/month and will be granted as a non-refundable benefit on the condition that the applicant is registered at the Bremen University of the Arts. The benefit will be given for one year. A scholarship holder can reapply until the end of the normal study period. Personal income (such as employment or BAFöG) will not be credited against the scholarship. Students, who receive other scholarships, are not allowed to apply. Legal claims are excluded.
