That’s not what it says.
It says that causality is legally difficult to prove.
Ergo: laws are the cause that you can prosecute, but that by the defense, on the basis of the same laws, such uncertainty can be demonstrated that you do not benefit from it, on the contrary.

So change law, add, do something about these extortion techniques that have a very high potential for taking lives.
The whole circular reasoning that it is not possible because we have agreed to it always comes across to me as a squeezed lemon of unwillingness and in this case a good example that Lady Justice would rather turn a blind eye.
