German Public Opinion on Including Wolves in Hunting Laws

The number of wolves in Germany continues to increase. At the same time, there are repeated calls for wolves to be included in hunting law. But a forsa survey from Baden-Württemberg shows that a majority of the local population still rejects inclusion in the hunting law. In March and April, 1,011 residents of Baden-Württemberg were surveyed, 58 percent of whom stated that they would not support inclusion in the hunting law. The rejection is particularly strong among supporters of the Greens, whereas the majority of FDP supporters would support inclusion in the hunting law.
