German police: suspected attack in Trier makes confused statements

No clear motive emerged from the first interrogations of the suspect in the attack in Trier, police in the West German city report. According to the police, the 51-year-old man made varying and confused statements, which could not be tied to.

The hearing will continue for the next few days. In the interest of the investigation, the police do not want to disclose details of the interrogation, but, as yesterday, state that there is no evidence whatsoever to suspect political or religious motives.
