Al-Marsad Newspaper: The German pilgrim, Oliver Levernes, narrated the story of his conversion to Islam and his feelings after reading the Qur’an, revealing the reason for his doubts about his ancient religion.
“Oliver” said in a report shown by the “Saudi Arabia” channel: I was born as a Christian and converted to Islam, at the age of thirty-four, pointing out that he had some doubts about the validity of some Christian concepts related to the principle of the “Trinity” in his previous religion.
He explained that a close person gifted him a copy of the Holy Qur’an, and he discovered at that time that the Qur’an is the undistorted book of God and this changed his life, saying: “In Islam and the Qur’an there was only one God, and this is what brought about the change in my point of view.”
He added: The rules and stories in the Qur’an are clear and easy to understand for me, and completely eliminated my doubts, revealing his efforts to obtain a visa for Hajj during the past four years, and the matter faltered due to health restrictions related to Covid 19, and he was unable to obtain a visa last year, except that His dream of performing Hajj has come true this year.
And “Oliver” concluded that during those years he was preparing himself for Hajj by reading the stories of some prophets and reading about the meaning of Hajj, and asking previous pilgrims about their experience, saying about his going to Hajj in Makkah: “I always felt that I was going to my home, a feeling of reassurance and warmth in the heart”.
