The NHL, together with the broadcaster Sky Sport, has developed a concept for “3 German stars” for the individual months of the 2023/24 regular season.
At the end of each month the three winning players will be announced. Sky also publishes this in video and images on their website sport.sky.de and on social media. In general, you can find a lot of information about the NHL on sport.sky.de/nhl.
The ‘3 German stars’ from January are: Draisaitl, Seider, Stützle.
1. Star: Leon Draisaitl (11 games, 6 goals, 11 assists, 17 points)
The German is on the road to success with the Edmonton Oilers. All games in January were won. Draisaitl was involved in all the goals in the 4-2 win against the Kraken. The winning streak already extends to a total of 16 victories. With another win in the away game in Vegas, the Oilers would equal the NHL record of 17 wins in a row.
