German motorway toll reimbursement. Drivers will not pay for the road traffic

– The German office has confirmed that it will return money to carriers who have paid excessive fees between October 28, 2020 and September 30, 2021. – Adriana Grau, a lawyer running a law firm in Hamburg, told the newspaper.

The Court issued a judgment in which it stated that including the costs of maintaining the traffic police in the tolls for using the motorway violates EU law.

According to the journal, there is something to fight for, because the returns can amount to considerable money – from 1 thousand. up to 150 thousand euro. However, the amount depends, among others on the number of kilometers traveled on German motorways or the weight of a truck.
