Marc Marquez proved himself still the ruler of the Sachsenring circuit. Rider The Repsol Honda became the fastest in FP1 MotoGP Germany 2021.
First free practice session German MotoGP held at the Sachsenring, Friday (18/6/2021) afternoon WIB. Marc Marquez, who won seven races MotoGP last here, instantly setting the benchmark early in the session by being the fastest and recording one minute 21.660 seconds.
The fall of Jorge Martin and Pol Espargaro colored the beginning of the session. Before long Takaaki Nakagami darted and clung Marc Marquez in front of. This bodes well for Honda.
There were 23 minutes left when another Honda engine builder, Pol Espargaro, moved up to third. But Honda’s dominance was disrupted by Monster Energy Yamaha’s Fabio Quartararo, who pushed for second.
Until the session ended, Marc Marquez was untouchable at the top. The position of Quartararo and Nakagami also did not shift in the order of 2-3.
Pol Espargaro occupies fourth position, followed by his brother, Aleix Espargaro and Jack Miller. Alex Rins, Johann Zarco, Joan Mir and Maverick Vinales complete the top 10 in FP1 German MotoGP.
