German Media Giant Asks Pro-Palestinian Officials to Find Work Elsewhere

BERLIN – Axel Springer’s CEO, Mathias Dopfner, warns his 16,000 employees to find another job if they don’t agree with the flag Israel installed outside the company building.

Axel Springer is Europe’s largest digital publisher.

Some staff complained when the company raised the Israeli flag at its headquarters during the 11-day Israeli airstrike on the Gaza Strip last month.

“I think, and I’m being very honest with you, someone who had a problem with raising the Israeli flag for a week here, after the antisemitic demonstrations, should find a new job,” Mathias Dopfner said during a videoconference last week with employees around the world.

For 11 days, Israel carried out air strikes on the blockaded Gaza Strip.
