published The Lancet A study dealt with the case of a 62-year-old German man, who intentionally received 217 doses of a coronavirus vaccine within 29 months, which contradicts national recommendations, to the point that the authorities questioned his matter and arrested him.
The Lancet concluded that although “hypervaccination” did not lead to any adverse health effects, it did not significantly improve their immune response.
The man, who lives in the city of Magdeburg, received 217 doses of the Covid vaccine between June 2021 and November 2023.
For example, in 2021, he received 16 doses in centers across the eastern state of Saxony, then he increased the number of doses in January 2022, when he received 48 doses, and in February he received 34, then 6 more in March.
At the time, German Red Cross employees in the city of Dresden became suspicious of him, and issued a warning to other vaccination centers and encouraged them to contact the police if they saw the man. In early March, he showed up at the vaccination center in the town of Eilenburg, and the police arrested him.
He was suspected of selling vaccination cards, and the Magdeburg public prosecutor opened an investigation, but no criminal charges were brought, according to the study.
The researchers contacted the man through the public prosecutor investigating his case, in May 2022. By this point, he had received 213 doses.
The man did not report any side effects associated with the vaccine, and he has not been infected with Covid so far, and the researchers point out that it is not clear that his lack of exposure to the Covid virus is directly due to over-vaccination.
“This is an unusual case,” said Dr. Emily Happe-Miller, assistant professor of medicine, microbiology and immunology at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. “He may not have contracted Covid because he was well protected after the first three doses of the vaccine.”
