On Tuesday, August 20th at 18:00 German time, the first German Indie Showcase on the YouTube channel of Gronkh alias Erik Range Two hours before the Opening Night Live to gamescom 2024 30 indie games – including 27 world premieres – were presented with trailers by development studios from Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
These were hand-picked indie titles that were chosen by Gronkh’s influencer agency 1up Management and streamed as a pro bono show. This means that there were no advertisements or sponsors at the event, which was discreetly moderated by a speaker in the background, and you couldn’t “buy” your way into the show, and viewers were spared interviews, talks and other comments. Apart from the date, there was also no reference to gamescom. The following games, each of which is linked to its shop page on Steam, were shown at the showcase:
You can watch the almost hour-long video right under the news. At the trade fair in Cologne you will find most of the titles in the Indie Arena Booth in Hall 10.
