LONDON – German football goalkeeper Bernd Leno has signed a new contract with the English club Fulham FC until the summer of 2027.

The agreement also includes an option for another year. Slovakian representative Marek Rodák makes him second in Fulham.

Thirty-one-year-old Leno arrived at Craven Cottage in 2022 from Arsenal and in the league competition he caught all the matches in the current season. “I learned about the offer from the club during the last international break and I didn’t make a decision for a long time, as I think it suits all parties. I immediately said that I want to stay here longer and I’m very happy about it, as well as about the long-term plans club,” said Leno to the British media.

In the past two duels in the Premier League, Leno kept a clean sheet in victories over West Ham and Nottingham (both 5:0). “That’s why this contract extension is perfectly timed. Everyone at Fulham recognizes Bernd’s contribution to our team.” club owner Tony Khan said about Leno, who previously played for Bayer Leverkusen (2011-2018) and Arsenal (2018-2022).
