German Football Legend Franz Beckenbauer Dies at 78

The German Football Federation said on the 8th that the legendary Franz Beckenbauer, known as the “football emperor”, passed away on the 7th at the age of 78.

Beacon Bower is one of the only three legends in the world who has won the World Cup as a player and coach.

Beacon Bower played 424 games in the German Football League and scored 44 goals, including playing for Bayern Munich for 13 years. After that, he joined the New York Cosmos and Hamburger SV, and in 1983 he joined the New York Cosmos. The team ended his playing career.

Beacon Bower was elected European Footballer of the Year twice, in 1972 and 1976.
