Martina Eisenreich and Michael Kadelbach were awarded the German Film Music Prize 2024 for their composition for the thriller series “One Billion Dollars”. In the laudatory speech at the award ceremony in the Halle Opera (Saale), the courage to revive one’s own signature and to allow great creativity was emphasized. Eisenreich received the German Music Film Prize in 2018. The prize is considered one of the most important awards in the industry.
The honorary award went to the composer and music producer Christian Bruhn. Bruhn is one of the most successful composers and music producers in Germany, said the organizers. Among other things, he wrote hits like “Marble, stone and iron breaks” and “There has to be a little fun”. He also created well-known theme tunes for film and television, such as “Heidi” and “Timm Thaler”.
