The video shows several German fans lashing out at fans carrying placards Mesut Ozil after the match against Costa Rica in World Cup 2022 viral on social media.
In the video, a number of German fans can be seen getting emotional over a group of supporters unfurling posters of Ozil as they walked out of the stadium after the match against Costa Rica at Al Bayt Stadium, Al Khor on Friday (2 /11) WIB in the early morning.
There were several moments where German fans got angry at fans carrying Ozil posters. In the first moment, German fans were seen cursing and pointing middle fingers at fans carrying Ozil posters.
In the second moment a German fan appeared to hit a fan carrying the Ozil poster with a flagpole, albeit not forcefully.
In the third moment, a German fan was seen scolding directly in front of a fan carrying the Ozil poster.
Then, in the fourth moment, a Germany fan wearing the captain’s armband was seen waving his hand like a duck’s mouth as bold fans carry posters of Ozil to keep taunting him.
Then, at the last moment, a German fan wearing a black cap and red bag appeared furious.
He snatched Ozil’s poster off a spectator and threw it away, then also got into a fight with another fan which brought Ozil’s poster to the point of almost a fight.
Germany themselves sadly failed to advance to the round of 16 of the 2022 World Cup. In their final Group E match, Germany effectively won 4-2 over Costa Rica at Al Bayt Stadium, Al Khor on Friday (2/ 12) early morning WIB.
But the win seemed futile after Japan surprisingly beat Spain 2-1 in the other game. This allowed Japan to win Group E, Spain finished second and Germany finished third.
