Itzehoe – A secretary of a Nazi concentration camp, the now 96-year-old suspect Irmgard Furchner, was released on Thursday pending her trial. This was announced by the court of Itzehoe, in the German state of Schleswig-Holstein, on Tuesday. The very old woman had been in police custody since Thursday after fleeing her trial. She took off in a taxi earlier when she was expected in court.
