“We no longer accept the persecution and threats in such social media groups,” said DUH Managing Director Jürgen Resch on Wednesday in Berlin. Facebook has so far refused to close these groups. The parent company Meta has been “unable or unwilling to end this hunt for people” for years. Neither reports to Facebook nor, in the meantime, 300 criminal charges to the police have been successful. In addition to Resch, other environmental aid employees are regularly threatened.
