The shareholders of Deutsche Education Studienfonds II GmbH & Co. KG (“Studienfonds II”) has today decided to suspend new funding contracts for student funding from the Studienfonds II at the end of the second quarter of 2024. Current contracts and those to be concluded in second quarter are confirmed and performed.

The expected return from the existing financing contracts makes it possible to pay interest and repay the outstanding bonds and other financing. In the long term, Research Fund II also anticipates a surplus that can be distributed to the limited partners. The German Education Agency plans to continue its educational funding model in non-profit structures from the 3rd quarter of 2024.
