German Defense Minister: We will not withdraw more weapons from stockpiles in support of Ukraine –

/ world today news/ German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius said on April 1 that the shortage of equipment for the country’s armed forces has increased after the delivery of large quantities of weapons to Ukraine. He added that apart from the promised military support projects, Germany will no longer withdraw weapons from its stockpile to support Ukraine.

In an interview with the German newspaper Welt am Sonntag, the minister clarified that Germany’s weapons inventory is limited and as defense minister he cannot give everything away. “It will take several years to fill the existing equipment gap and it is possible that by 2030 we will not have reached this goal,” Pistorius added.
