German Defense Minister Calls for Europe and NATO to Prepare for Worst-Case Scenario

German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius called on Europe and NATO member countries to prepare for the “worst-case scenario.”

“I don’t like looking into a crystal ball. I can’t predict if or when there will be an attack on NATO territory. But it could happen in five to eight years,” he said in an interview with the American Bloomberg.

He also called on American legislators to approve additional military assistance to Ukraine, noting that this is in the interests of the United States of America itself.

“Europe is geographically far from Iowa or Wisconsin, but still very close in terms of security policy. Less security in Europe means less security for the United States. We must not take freedom for granted. We must defend it. If necessary we will have to fight for it,” Pistorius added.

Europe is preparing for war: latest news

As you know, recently European military officers and politicians are increasingly talking about the possibility of military aggression from Russia.

In the Netherlands, people were urged to mentally prepare for the possibility of war, and the same opinion is shared in Sweden.

Let us recall that earlier the media published a “secret document” of the Bundeswehr. According to these data, Germany fears the start of a hybrid war between the West and Russia as early as 2024.
