German Confectionery Association Donates Sweet Treats to Freiburg City Mission as Part of Annual Meeting Tradition

Yesterday, representatives of the Federal Association of the German Confectionery Industry (BDSI) symbolically handed over a gift basket with a colorful variety of sweet treats to the Evangelische Stadtmission Freiburg eV. The donations were handed over at the headquarters of the city mission on Adelhauser Klosterplatz. The donation will be handed over as part of the general meeting of members of the Federal Association of the German Confectionery Industry, which will be held in Freiburg im Breisgau this year. It is traditional for candy makers from the state where the AGM is held to delight a pre-selected organization with a sweet donation.

Katja Potzies, Chairwoman of the Board of the Evangelische Stadtmission Freiburg eV, is delighted with the donation, which will be distributed in the various areas of the Stadtmission: “The daily commitment to people who need help in different areas demands a lot from our employees. A few pieces of sugar, which sweeten everyday life and give some nerve food, are always good. And the Ukrainian family children will certainly be very happy about the sweet surprise.”

The sweet gift basket was presented by the BDSI, represented by the chairman of the Baden-Württemberg regional group, Claus Cersovksy, his wife Christiane Cersovsky, his two deputies Traude Flaig and Christopher Klett, Klaus Richter and Solveig Schneider and Hanna Mehdorn from the Bonn office of the BDSI .
