German Chancellor Olaf Scholz will walk around with an eye patch in the near future. The 65-year-old Scholz is struggling with an injury to his face. He just keeps working.
Scholz tripped while running last weekend. He was injured around his eye. He has been wearing an eye patch ever since.
The chancellor, who is usually seen as a gray mouse, poked fun at X with his new accessory. “Whoever has damage … (a reference to a German expression, ed.). I look forward to the memes,” Scholz tweets.
Although he now looks like a Bond villain, Schulz will continue to run Germany as normal for the next period. Today he joins appointments again. “It looks worse than it is,” Scholz assures his followers.
