There is very little left for Germán Cano to be made official as the sixth reinforcement of the Fluminense for the season. After landing in Rio de Janeiro at dawn on Thursday, the 34-year-old Argentine striker arrived in the morning at CT Carlos Castilho for medical examinations. If approved, he will sign the contract for two seasons.
The official announcement, according to the ge website, could happen no later than Friday.
Cano was supposed to arrive last week, however, he had to come to Brazil postponed after contracting Covid-19 during his vacation in Argentina.
Before Cano, midfielder Felipe Melo, forward Willian Bigode, left-back Mario Pineida, defender David Braz and midfielder Nathan have already been announced by Fluminense. The left-back Cristiano, from Sheriff, from Moldova, will complete the package of reinforcements.
