German Bundestag – Public meeting of the subcommittee “Citizenship…

The “Civic Engagement” subcommittee announces:

Education is a topic that is as diverse in its spectrum and shades as German society as a whole. Educational paths are individual, but at the same time there is a great interest in society as a whole in the success of these paths. In addition, education is an important building block for professional success and peaceful coexistence in society. Last but not least, educational work is often also democratic work. Commitment to education is just as complex, individual and socially important as the educational success of the individual, and it actively contributes to democratic coexistence.

Against this background, the subcommittee on civic engagement will address the topic at its 21st meeting on December 13th “Education and Democracy” deal with. The aim of the meeting is to further deepen the MPs’ impression of the commitment in the areas of education and democracy and to continue discussions with organizations and committed people.

As part of the meeting there will be a public technical discussion attended by MPs
