With the adopted statement, the Bundestag stands for the comprehensive support of Ukraine in Russia’s aggressive war and does not exclude the supply of heavy weapons from Germany for this purpose.
586 deputies voted in favor, 100 deputies voted against, seven deputies abstained. The proposal was supported by the ruling coalition and the opposition CDU/CSU bloc.
As writes daily mirrorthe Bundestag called on the federal government to “continue and, if possible, accelerate the supply of necessary equipment to Ukraine, as well as expand deliveries through heavy weapons and complex systems.”
