German Bundestag – 78th meeting of the Petitions Committee

With the petition “Child and youth welfare – strengthening the education, care and upbringing of children in Germany” dealing with that Committee on Petitions at his public meeting on Monday, October 7, 2024.

The meeting will be alive broadcast on parliament television and on the internet at www.bundestag.de.

According to Article 17 of the Basic Law, anyone can contact the German Bundestag with a request or complaint. These culminate in the Petitions Committee, which examines and advises on the petitions. In this way, the committee helps to determine if the approved legislation achieves the intended goal or creates new problems. Then a critical review can be made again as to whether Parliament should act on a particular issue. (09/30/2024)
