Since January 30, the Robert Koch Institute has declared Ukraine a high-risk area due to dissemination coronavirus disease. From today, Germany has stricter entry rules for Ukrainians.

According to the new rules, people entering the territory of Germany from Ukraine, with the exception of those who are fully vaccinated or have recovered from COVID-19, must undergo a 10-day quarantine.

It will be possible to leave quarantine only five days after arrival and with a negative test result. Before entering the country, you must register on the relevant website and enter your vaccination data there.
Children under 12 must be in quarantine for five days and can complete it without being tested. These requirements apply to persons with any citizenship who have visited countries from the high-risk list, to which Ukraine is assigned, in the last 10 days.
Countries and regions where the threat of infection with coronavirus is particularly high are declared high-risk zones in Germany. It is not only the number of infected people that matters. Other criteria are also taken into account, such as the rate of spread of coronavirus, the workload of hospitals and the lack of complete data on the situation with the disease.
Such restrictions will remain in effect until March 3 and will then be reviewed.
As reported, Ukraine was on the list of countries in the high-risk zone for Germany from October 10, 2021 until January 9, 2022, when it was excluded from there due to an improvement in the epidemic situation.
Recently, the number of cases of coronavirus disease has increased in Ukraine. So, on January 29, more than 24.5 thousand new cases of COVID-19 were registered in Ukraine.
