German actor Christian Oliver died with his two daughters in a private plane crash in the Caribbean, local authorities announced.
The police explained on social media that the small plane carrying the actor, known for his roles in the films “Speed Racer” and “Saved by the Bell,” crashed Thursday in the ocean “a few moments after take-off,” near the island of Petite Nevis, located within the archipelago. Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.
The police statement indicated that “three passengers were present on the plane: Christian Klebser (which is the actor’s real name) and his two daughters.”
The police reported that “the Coast Guard recovered their bodies from the plane, and then the coroner confirmed their deaths.” An autopsy is being conducted, while an investigation has been opened into the accident.
The plane left Bequia Island at midday and was supposed to head to Saint Lucia Island, according to police.
Christian Oliver was 51 years old, and he has a number of films and series in Germany and Hollywood to his credit.
