Gerindra Secretary General Ahmad Muzani brought up the efforts of Gerindra cadres in winning presidential candidate number 1 Anies Baswedan in the 2017 DKI Jakarta Gubernatorial Election. Muzani said that thousands of cadres had slept in the overhang taking care of vote counting at various polling stations in winning Anies.
“There are thousands of people coming here. They are all witnesses of how they came to TPS-TPS, RT-RT in Jakarta, sleeping on the verandas in RT-RT, sleeping in mosques, sleeping in prayer rooms, sleeping in places of taklim assemblies , won Pak Anies,” said Muzani after the Gerindra National Coordination Meeting at JIExpo Kemayoran, Central Jakarta, Friday (15/12/2023).
Muzani said the cadres sacrificed many things in their efforts to win. He said, from energy to money disbursed.
“His energy, time, thoughts and money. These are the people who are here,” he said.
The Deputy Chair of the Prabowo-Gibran National Campaign Team (TKN) said that he mobilized thousands of cadres from all over Indonesia to win Anies in DKI.
“At that time I deployed approximately 2,300 cadres from all over Indonesia. Members of the district, city, provincial DPR, DPR RI, and administrators were deployed here. For what? To win Mr. Anies Baswedan,” said Muzani.
