Vienna (A) International advertising and communications companies have long recognized the trend and integrated a creative chairman into their management level. In German-speaking countries, especially in Austria, IVG Holding is considered a pioneer in this area and was able to recruit advertising legend Gerhard Puttner to do so. The aim is to create an advertising and media holding company.

Puttner is one of the most famous advertisers in Austria. With his campaigns and slogans he has written Austrian advertising history and led a large number of large companies and brands to success. He is the creator of legendary campaigns such as “Only a Mercedes is a Mercedes” “Crisan is extremely expensive, but it works” or “Look into the crown”.

He became famous for the slogan “Kreisky, who else?”, which he designed for the then SPÖ leader. In the field of politics, Puttner was later also responsible for the election campaigns of Franz Vranitzky and Michael Häupl. Other prominent clients of his agencies include Mercedes, Billa, Austrian Airlines, Kronen Zeitung, VISA, Erste Bank, NEWS, SCS, Casinos Austria, ÖBB and Wiener Städtische.
Puttner combined scientific mental models with creativity in practice early on and propagated the USP methodology (Unique Selling Proposition) in his campaigns to develop a unique selling point as a decisive purchase promise.
