GERB won in the first round of the partial local elections today in Nova Zagora and several villages. Galya Zaharieva is the new mayor of Nova Zagora. She took 53.25% of the vote. Kremena Petrova from the BSP-DB coalition remained with 30.16%. Third is Ivan Ivanov, who was promoted by PP and ITN with 13.09. 2.58 remained for Dimitar Kovachev from “Vazrazhdane”.
Boyko Borisov’s party won the mayoral seats in the first round in the villages of Popovich, Byala municipality, Sekulovo, Silistrensko and Nova Kamena, Tervel municipality.
The GERB candidate is going to a runoff in Lilyache town hall, Vratsa municipality.
