Valentin Nikolov will be the new executive director of Kozloduy NPP, BTA reported on Thursday evening.
He explained to the agency that a three-day period must pass in order to be entered in the Commercial Register, which expires on Tuesday. This means that the decision will take effect from Wednesday, August 16.
The board of directors of the nuclear power plant has taken a decision, with which Georgi Kirkov is released from the post, and Valentin Nikolov has been elected in his place as director of the plant. The application for the change was submitted to the Commercial Register today.
Valentin Nikolov was the Deputy Minister of Economy, Energy and Tourism in 2012. Then he became the director of the Kozloduy NPP between 2012 and 2013. In 2021, he was also the executive director of the Bulgarian Energy Holding.
The previous director, Georgi Kirkov, remained in office for about a year. He replaced Nasko Mihov.
