By making clear commitments for the development of the region, the GERB-SDS coalition closed its election campaign in the Burgas region. The event was held in front of the Clock Tent and was attended by the mayor of Burgas and leader of the lists Dimitar Nikolov, the regional chairman of the PP GERB Ivan Alexiev, the deputies and candidates for a new mandate Zhecho Stankov, Lyuben Dilov and Andrey Runchev, as well as the other candidates for people’s representatives.
Mayor Nikolov said that in recent weeks there was no municipality or settlement in the Burgas region where the representatives of GERB-SDS did not meet and shake hands with the people.
“We have heard their problems and it is high time, after 3 years of deadlock, to have a regular government. People told me: “Mr. Nikolov, when you go to the Parliament, vote laws.” If a regular government with a 4-year term is not elected, the deputies will no longer have the right to run for office.” I answered them that the support for us is for the projects and solutions for our region” he said.
Nikolov called on the citizens of Burgas, as well as the rest of the residents of the Burgas region, to vote for the people who can do the job.
For people who can take responsibility. For the people who can build the four-lane roads, the community centers, the hospitals, the schools, the industrial zones.
“We want something very simple – to live better tomorrow than today. We want Burgas region to have a perspective. Young people to develop here. Our campaign was extremely positive. We did not make a single insult to our opponents, and this shows a high quality culture of democracy. We have great ideas and I stand with my name behind every single project of every single municipality. I will fight for each of them to be realized. There are no more borders between municipalities and we must think of everyone equally. The quality of life must be the same for the entire Burgas region. This is a high mission and goal, but if we don’t have them, then we won’t have any perspective” the mayor also stated.
The second in the list, Zhecho Stankov, said for his part that among the main questions that the citizens of Burgas asked him during the campaign was the one about sanitation.
“It will be 100% free. Let the program continue. There are over 200 buildings in Burgas that have submitted documents. We should not separate the people who live in the single-family apartment buildings and those in the blocks. The program will be expanded so that people in tiny houses can also apply. They will receive vouchers from the state to rehabilitate their buildings” he said.
Mayor Nikolov added that GERB-SDS wants every house to have the opportunity to build its own photovoltaic installation and thus reduce their electricity costs.
