The largest parliamentary group, the GERB, will propose a president of the 48th National Assembly. This was confirmed by the leadership of the GERB to “Trud News” and indicated that among their deputies there are the largest number of lawyers in the new parliament, starting with the president of the GERB PG in the 47th National Assembly Desislava Atanasova, as well as her colleagues Radomir Cholakov, Rosen Zhelyazkov, Branimir Balachev, Anna Alexandrova, Stefan Mirev, Ekaterina Zaharieva, Raya Nazaryan.
President Rumen Radev signed the decree convening the first session of the newly elected 48th National Assembly on October 19, 2022 at 9:00 am.
As already reported by “Trud News”, the first plenary bell will be rung by the dean of deputies, the former Minister of Culture Vezhdi Rashidov. In the first session of parliament, the president is also elected and this vote is usually a test for a future regular government.
Former parliamentary leader Nikola Minchev of “Let’s continue the change” announced that their formation would refuse if they were offered the post of president of the National Assembly. “He usually belongs to the largest group and we are not like that,” Nikola Minchev explained to the BNT. But it is not clear whether the PP will support the president of the GERB National Assembly. Minchev stressed that the PP will not support a possible GERB government in a plenary vote. But they would vote “in favor” during the meetings if the proposed proposal coincided with the program announced by the PP.
Meanwhile, in front of Nova TV, Venko Sabrutev (PP) attacked the GERBs calling them a “toxic party”. But a few minutes later Toma Bykov (GERB) said: “PP is a radicalized left. These people need to be put in a straitjacket for a while to calm down and start being helpful. These people are incompetent. They absolutely have wrong and they should not lead the country. “
Toma Bikov was adamant that with the new extraordinary elections we are sinking into the crisis and heading towards the collapse of the political system.
Against the backdrop of verbal skirmishes between PP and GERB, “Promyanata” spoke in sync with the BSP against the Provisional Government and demonstrated in a demonstrative manner the intentions of a general attack on the ministers of Rumen Radev.
