At the meeting with Manolova, the deputies from GERB raised the question about “Kostinbrod” and wished “almost two years after the affair to hear whether Manolova is in a position, standing before the PG of GERB, to apologize for what happened”.
We did not hear an apology, and she expressed regret that in this way this signal was triggered on the day of reflection, said Tsvetan Tsvetanov.
GERB will also meet with the other candidate – Konstantin Penchev.
The MPs from the party will vote according to their conscience for the candidates for ombudsman, Tsvetanov pointed out.
Maya Manolova defended her candidacy for public defender today also in front of the ABV deputies. The party noted its advantages, but stated that they would make their decision after listening to Konstantin Penchev.
