The FC Andorra from Gerard Piqué, second classified in group 3 subgroup A of the Spanish second division, has made it official, just after officially announcing the dismissal of the Asturian coach Nacho castro, the arrival of the new coach: Eder Sarabia.
The one who was Barcelona’s second coach last season with Quique Setien becomes the coach of FC Andorra. The club of the Principality, which is led by the company Kosmos Holding of Gerard Piqué, was placed in second position just one point behind the leader, the Gimnàstic Tarragona, after beating Llagostera 2-0.
The day after this victory, the Andorran club surprised by announcing the dismissal of Nacho Castro, who arrived from the Horta to replace the dismissed Gabri Garcia. As soon as he announced the dismissal of the Asturian, he announced the hiring of an old acquaintance of Gerard Piqué: Eder Sarabia.
Setién’s right hand
The 40-year-old Basque coach was without a team after the dismissal of Quique Setién from the Barça club this summer. Eder Sarabia was also second to the Cantabrian coach in the Betis and in the UD Las Palmas.
The new FC Andorra coach, who will be presented this Tuesday morning, is the son of Manu Sarabia, the former striker for Logroñés and Athletic Club in the 80s.
FC Andorra has declined to make any type of statement and refers to the press conference on Tuesday in the official presentation of Eder Sarabia as a new technician.
