Gérard Lenorman, pillar of French song for more than 50 years, was a guest of David Barbet on the show “Le 6-8” on La Une.
The singer explained his work around the lyrics of his songs: “I think I have said many things in my songs. I like to be perceived directly and by everyone. I’m very careful with my lyrics because I don’t want anyone to doubt it. I said things precisely so as not to be misunderstood“.
Gérard Lenorman also had an atypical history and a difficult childhood. The singer had a mother who was often very strict with him, and later learned of the existence of his father, a former German soldier who arrived in France during the occupation.
He reveals a touching message to his mother: “A mom is a mom. You have to respect what made you yourself. Even if we have sometimes suffered a little, it is not enough to hurt ourselves.”
Gérard Lenorman has some great successes to his credit, for him it is a great career that began in the late 60s, is he thinking of quitting like his friend Serge Lama?
“I’m in good shape, knock on wood. I have faith and I sing only if I have faith. I don’t think I’ll stop. I worked a lot.“
Gérard Lenorman released an album earlier this year entitled “The Taste of Happiness”.
