It was another well-known Dutchman, John van Zweden, who was the first to claim that he was not in favor of gender-neutral toilets. Joling immediately joined him: “It makes me so tired too! We live in a beautiful country, if you’re not in the right body you can transform into a woman, or a man, and then you go to the urinal or to the one toilet. You either go to the men’s restroom or the ladies’ restroom, because you’re either lady or gentleman,” says Joling.

Just before the singer spoke out about gender-neutral toilets, Joling claimed that from now on he will hold back in public: “You notice more often that all fuses are short and that people get angry very quickly, also on social media. People say so many things there that they can’t. I now think more often: take it one step less, otherwise it will come back later. Discuss things with each other before shouting.”
