Dutch singer Gerard Joling (61) has been in hospital since Monday. He has pneumonia. It is not clear when he will be allowed to return home.

According to the Dutch media, Joling has had pain in his lung for almost two weeks. It got so bad that he decided to go to the hospital on Monday. It turns out to be pneumonia. The singer remains in hospital for the time being, while he is on antibiotics. “I got the flu ten days ago. Then I got pneumonia over it,” he says from his hospital bed The Telegraph† “There was also fluid behind one of my lungs, which is causing the pain. The bizarre thing is that it has been exactly three months since my mother died (of double pneumonia, ed.). And I was brought in here on April 4, also with pneumonia. Mom had it in both lungs. What terrible pain she must have been in. There are still some tests to come and I still feel very bad, but I remain positive.”
