It has also been announced that Rob Stenders will remain at Radio Veronica. Channel manager Robbert-Jan van de Velde: “This is the dream programming that we have wanted for a long time. It is the start of a new exciting chapter of a legendary brand. Radio Veronica will be the station where anything can always happen and listeners will have nothing to do with it. I am confident that with these men and everything that is yet to come, this will certainly work out.”
Gerard Ekdom
Radio Veronica is building new programming with Gerard Ekdom in the morning. Gerard about his switch to Radio Veronica: “Making a program on Radio Veronica was my dream when I was 12 years old. And now 34 years later that is finally going to happen. It is the most exciting and riskiest step I have ever made and man , I’m looking forward to that! I think it’s really great that I’m going to achieve this together with a group of good radio friends. Radio Veronica is a bit of the underdog at the moment, but I’m sure that together with the listener we will once again an old-fashioned, cool brand. I’m looking forward to this new, exciting adventure.”
Wouter & Frank
Radio duo Wouter van der Goes and Frank van ‘t Hof will present the new afternoon show at Radio Veronica. Wouter: “We are extremely grateful to NPO Radio 2 for the best time of our career so far. We have learned so much there. The opportunity to use that experience to build Radio Veronica together with Gerard and Rob is special.” Wouter continues to say about the switch: “Of course this is exciting and terrifying, but we strongly believe in a radio station like the one we are going to build together. With an intense and real love for music and lots of fun together.”
Frank van ‘t Hof adds to Wouter: “We like to challenge listeners to do things that you would like to do but may not do right away. And now we are making such a move ourselves. We get the opportunity to do what What we love most is creating a daily radio show together. We seize that opportunity with both hands.”
