“I will no longer give interviews to the Ukrainian media. I answered your call out of respect, because that’s how I was raised,” the Ukrainian Football publication quotes Tsitaishvili as saying.
As far as one can understand, Tsitaishvili was prompted to take such a step by a recent publication in NV, where he openly spoke about the fact that he played in the Ukrainian youth team (with which he became the mupa champion) not at the call of his heart, but because the circumstances turned out that way. He said approximately the same thing about accepting Ukrainian citizenship. After this, a sea of hate poured out towards the football player, which he apparently decided to try to fight with silence.
